When we were kids we would play outside and swim in the lake at the beach I’d love to visit my grandmother’s house and in her orchard eat a big juicy peach I’ll never forget how the apple blossoms smelled, but that’s another story I could tell The fondest memory that comes back to me, is climbing in The Old Cherry Tree When the summer was hot we’d wear T-shirts and shorts and run thru the grass in the yard Playing Hide ‘n Seek, the other kids and me, we’d chase around the cat and the dog Riding bikes down the lane, swinging in the barn, building forts in the hay, jumping in the straw When the cherries were ripe there was one place to be, that was under The Old Cherry Tree Chorus The Old Cherry Tree brings sweet memories to me and I hope that I’ll never forget Climbing to the top where the world could see It was me in The Old Cherry Tree Nothing tasted as good as a Black Cherry could, and for a feast I thought I’d almost die Queen Anne’s were sweet and Bing’s were a treat and my Mom would bake the juiciest pies But wintertime would come, snow would cover the ground, I can’t recall a more silent sound We’d climb those snow banks as happy as could be, and swing in The Old Cherry Tree Then one day I left the farm and went off to school leaving my family and my friends behind No more fishing in the pond, racing down the road, in the city there were new friends to find I think back to the times, when we’d sing nursery rhymes, playing games my sisters and me Now when I need to be free there’s only one place to be in the arms of The Old Cherry Tree Chorus Yes The Old Cherry Tree brings sweet memories to me now I know that I’ll never forget Climbing up to the top where the world could see It was me in The Old Cherry Tree

Out of the clear blue sky it hit me like a lightning bolt To realize there’s only so much time and man it gave me quite a jolt So I plot my course, trim my sails, shoved off from the shore Don’t want to worry about details, not keeping score anymore Out on the deep blue sea I’m reeling on the rolling waves You’d hardly recognize it’s me with all the other cryptic knaves Speiling sermons and spouting prose, proclaiming their point of view Voracious voices being heard but never saying anything new CHORUS Oh, Say That’s So Out of a waking dream it hit me like a ton of lead Those illusions aren’t what they seem, they simply got inside my head When I woke up and rubber my eyes, balanced on a narrow ledge Restless, reckless and flying blind, it’s lonely living on the edge Out of a cold dark night I stumbled into your town I wandered until daylight but didn’t hear a friendly sound Critics and crazies crawling by, protesters on parade Rogues and rascals flying high, all party to the grand charade BRIDGE Now if we never ever use more than half There’ll always be something left If forever we consume more than we have We’re doomed to ravaging the rest Out of an endless haze the committed are coming clean Confessing their worldly ways, convicted of what they mean I’m still standing on my own learning what I need to know The consequences are mine alone The consensus will Say That’s So

If tomorrow never comes or yesterday don’t fade away There would still be here and now And dreams to dance another day If forever ever ends or the past could just begin I’d be lost in time with you and leave it all behind again Like a Songwriters Circle Those lines keep coming strong and fast I won’t ride into the sun Watch it all just come undone Til no one cares and none of this is fun Like a Songwriters Circle The words we use don’t seem to last I might stay another day Say something I have to say Or maybe sing my song and then be on my way Now I forgot most of what I know, don’t understand all that I do But I remember why I’d go to feel alive and be with you Well the words of love are many Though the thoughts of loss are few Now regrets I don’t have any and deep regards I have for you There’s a Bridge Over Troubled Water And a Stairway To Heaven too Mary Lou is the Farmer’s Daughter And I’m Hopelessly Devoted To You Feels like sitting on a teeter totter Sixteen Tons on the other end Sometimes I wonder why I bother And I’m still running Against The Wind Now my best I can’t recall, the worst is still hard to forget But if I’d never even tried how would I know how far I’d get Seems I’m so far from the top but when I stop and look around I might be tired of facing up but more afraid of falling down Like a Songwriters Circle Those lines keep coming strong and fast I won’t sail into the west, satisfied I passed the test Then some guest yells ‘at least you did your best’ In that Songwriters Circle And words we chose All Things Must Pass I might stay another day Say something I have to say Or maybe sing my song and just be on my way

Thirty years of blazing trails Searching for some holy grail Finding fortunes in the lost and found Cruising up the Sunshine Coast Paradise Meadows we miss the most Destination Desolation Sound Leaving legends far behind Closing doors and drawing lines Setting sail with whales and ships aground Forbidden Plateau far behind To Unwin Lake where we unwind Destination Desolation Sound Pacific winds they squall and blow We ride the tides that ebb and flow In tandem kayaks where the sailboats tack Out the inlets, through the straits To Prideaux Haven and Harbour Grace Destination Desolation Sound Touring round Tenedos Bay At Curme Islands campsite stay Exploring shorelines while we’re westward bound Oysters over open fire Fish fry as the flames fly higher Destination Desolation Sound

It’s a challenge when you paddle against a tidal flow you battle When the current runs contrary you just haul with all your might I’ve been wrong so long it’s become my song But I feel so strongly it all belongs Now the timing’s right, no fear in flight, I won’t stay another night Chorus I’m Leaving The Lagoon, setting sail real soon Breaking camp before high noon I sing my tune Leaving The Lagoon, with the rising of the moon Like a laughing loon, Leaving The Lagoon Now there’s a treasure trove of riches 'neath a shallow cove with fishes Where a world of wealth is invested in a sand dollar bank Like a village on the ocean floor with Dancing diamonds on the shore The pristine sea is thriving and surviving here with thanks Bridge Manson’s Landing calls to me, Cortes Island wild and free Living out a life of destiny Whaletown Bay awaiting me, Squirrel Cove still taunting me Giving what I have for all to see

Dalgety Bay 02:44
In a village on the Firth of Forth where the boats go sailing by In the heather on the hillside I found the love of my life A sweet kind hearted lassie with flowers in her hair And I knew I’d never stray far from Dalgety Bay Her eyes they shone like starlight the day they first met mine A smile to bring the laughter, no fairer love I’d find T’was then that I knew deep inside I could not go away And that I’d never stray far from Dalgety Bay Dalgety Bay, I’d travel endless miles Dalgety Bay, a farthing for your smile Well she told me that she loved me and her heart was truly mine We decided then to marry, a cottage we would find There we’d raise a family, a daughter or a son And pray they’d never stray far from Dalgety Bay Dalgety Bay, I’d travel endless miles Dalgety Bay, a farthing for your smile Our travels they have taken us o’er mountains far abroad To Canada across the sea, through foreign lands we’ve trod But there’s the place we’ll e’er return, it’s where we make our home I know I’ll never stray far from Dalgety Bay Dalgety Bay, I’d travel endless miles Dalgety Bay, a farthing for your smile Yes there’s the place we’ll e’er return it’s where we make our home Now I know I’ll never stray far from Dalgety Bay I know I’ll never stray far from Dalgety Bay

Love as deep as the ocean and as high as the sky above What remains is faith and hope and love but the greatest of these is love Joy brings deep contentment and happiness within Joy to the world rings out when generosity begins The Fruit of the Spirit grows like branches on a tree With nourishment and caring it abounds for you and me We live our lives, we love and learn, yearning to be free The Fruit of the Spirit nurtures me Peace our hearts cry out for, could we just give it a chance Kindness can’t be all that hard, it’s like learning how to dance Faithfulness needs loyalty, trust and deep respect Patience isn’t easy, it takes practice not neglect Goodness grows with every seed we sow throughout our lives The gardener hoes every weed that threatens to survive Gentleness brings comfort, like a mother to her child Self-control unbridled is like a river raging wild

Somewhere over the river, not far away Somewhere over the river, not far away My worries soon shall be released My soul will finally be at peace Somewhere over the river, not far away Somewhere down the road a spell, not far away Somewhere down the road a spell, not far away My burden gladly been laid down Happy that I’m glory bound Somewhere down the road a spell, not far away Somewhere under the rainbow, not far away Somewhere under the rainbow, not far away My cares surrendered when I’m old Then I’ll find that pot of gold Somewhere under the rainbow, not far away Somewhere when I’ve sung my song, not far away Somewhere when I’ve sung my song, not far away My troubles all will disappear Joyful singing in my ears Somewhere when I’ve sung my song, not far away Somewhere over the river, not far away Somewhere over the river, not far away My worries soon shall be released My soul will finally find peace Somewhere over the river, not far away Somewhere over the river, not far away, not far away

I do not do like you do, no I do not do like you do You will when I won't, you do when I don't I Do Not Do Like You Do We all have our favourite thing that lasts until it ends We all hide sometimes behind a face that pretends Id’ rather fight than switch and drive right in the ditch But it doesn’t mean that we can’t still be friends Some say love was meant for others but not them Some say that the law is only there for them that sin They preach kindness for the weak and forgiveness for the meek But they're never going down that road again Robert Lee of Harrisburg was born one stormy night His politics leaned left though he was reaching for the right He had plans for this and schemes for that, scams are through his life But they buried him before he saw the light You might see me Stepping Out On Saturday Night You might Party Out There Tonight if you Feel Alright You might sing and dance every time you get the chance And never know you're such a scary sight Everybody knows a willow bow is made for bending Everybody appreciates a helping hand somebody’s lending Everybody has a story some are short and some are long And you never say NO to a happy ending

Feel Alright 03:39
I’ve know about it for a long, long, time There’s a lot of people searching for peace of mind When I can make somebody smile it makes me feel alright I don’t care to complain about the aches and the pains I won’t stop and stare if your style’s not the same Try not to think of a thing don’t make me feel alright, yes I feel alright Now I’m walking through the park on a sunny day Through the leaves and the trees where the children play I stop for a rest and a breathe of that cool, clean air Summer breeze is blowing my blues away Song bird’s singing so sweetly I say Hey, it feels so good today just to be alive Sun’s gonna shine and I feel alright Moon’s gonna rise with a heavenly light Stars gonna shine in the sky, I feel alright, yes I feel alright But sometimes you know I get so downhearted Feel I’m defeated before I’ve started Why don’t you give me a ring, come on over tonight Sometimes you know I get so discouraged Sit around the house and all I do is worry Why don’t you give me a lift, make me feel alright, feel alright Now I don’t mind working for my livelihood I don’t really care if the money’s no good It doesn’t bother me when the cool rain’s starting to fall I just ride that train to the end of the line I hope and pray that it’ll be on time I’ll pay my way through this word and just laugh at it all Sun’s gonna shine and I feel alright Moon’s gonna rise with a heavenly light Stars gonna shine here tonight, I feel alright, yes I feel alright

Dusty Roads 04:32
Out in the country where I feel alive Down county roads that I love to drive Dust clouds billow high in the sky See them far away up where the magpies fly There’s been no rain and the fields are dry The sun so hot those crops wither and die Riding a Harley there’s an easy smile The road stretches on for a country mile Dusty Roads I still see you there Not in a hurry and going nowhere No destination and you don’t care Just carry that load, Dusty Roads Back in the city there lives a man Worked in the theatre as a lead stage hand Behind the scenes had the time of his life Met a pretty singer who became his wife She had a smile that would make him melt And he could growl when that's how he felt An honest working man deserves an ode Everybody knew him as Dusty Rhodes Dusty Rhodes I still see you there Not in a hurry and going nowhere No destination and you don’t care Just carry that load, Dusty Rhodes Then a young man appeared on the scene Bursting with talent all tall and lean Playing piano like he’s in a trance Those flying fingers made the people dance Papa would listen all full of pride Maman la chanteuse singing at his side A man of his word, an honour to know Husband, friend, father, brother Dusty Rhodes Off in the corner stands an electric grand The man sits down with his magic hands It's just a dusty old Fender Rhodes It comes alive with melody and modes Dusty Roads, Dusty Rhodes, Dusty Rhodes He’s a legend, not forgotten, still loved
12.
Uz and Buz 03:38
Uz & Buz and cousin Spuz, a bad bunch if there ever was Just can’t seem to get along, meddle where they don't belong They cuss and fuss like no one does, Uz & Buz and cousin Spuz Uz & Buz and cousin Spuz, they stir up trouble just because Can't leave well enough alone, filtching things they don't own A sadder crew there never was, Uz & Buz and cousin Spuz In the land of Uz there lived a man His name was Job and life was grand Job was blameless and feared the Lord There was nothing he could not afford Satan said ‘God, let me put him in his place And Job will curse you to your face’ but he never did Uz & Buz and cousin Spuz, they do their best to rile the fuzz They incite a riot in the square, raise a ruckus everywhere They fight more than the army does, Uz & Buz and cousin Spuz Jacob laid his head upon a stone He dreamed that he was not alone Stairway to heaven ran up and down He built a pillar there on the ground In a land they once called Luz There's no mention made of Uz and Buz Uz & Buz and cousin Spuz, they cause commotion just because So rambunctious, they don't care, creating havoc everywhere A troubled lot if there ever was, Uz & Buz and cousin Spuz Uz & Buz, cousin Spuz, uncle Abe, muma Milcah, the land of Luz

Someday 05:00
Well it’s a long, long way to the other side To forget our fears and the times we cried To release the pain and the pride that we hide inside Someday tears will all be dried The taste of hunger satisfied The chains on freedom broken and untied We’ll leave this space for a better place Lose despair without a trace Grow in grace with faith in the human race We’ll see our hopes and our dreams come true Dwell in peace like we’re meant to do Live in harmony me and you Someday it’ll all work out I have no doubt, you can help us out, with or without you Well we try so hard to do what’s right Be on guard and fight the good fight But when days are dark, you can’t see the light If we seek the truth we can find the Way Heal our hearts and be okay Keep the faith and not fall away When we learn to love our fellow man Take the time to understand Share the wealth and not make demands We can conquer strife, it’ll disappear Honour life that we hold so dear Dispel the darkness, let it all come clear Someday it’ll all work out I know it's true, for me and you, we'll see it through
14.
The world can be unkind if you’ve been left behind I’ve heard silence speak louder than words But you can make it right and maybe take delight Stepping Out On Saturday Night Don’t want to be alone, don’t want to stay at home Don’t want to hide inside a bubble tonight I gotta hear some music, some tunes so loud and bluesy Stepping Out On Saturday Night It’s been a long week and we’ve been working so hard It’s good to know that everything’s done Life’s been crazy around here but at the end of day It’s time for us to have some fun Don’t want to see a movie, maybe I’m being choosey Just want to wander where the lights are bright I think I’ve found the answer hanging ‘round the dancers Stepping Out On Saturday Night Skies grow grey and cold dark clouds collide Thunder rolls on and the heavens open wide Now when the weather’s sunny I’m going to call my honey We want to climb in my TBird and drive I’m gonna take her cruisin’ and later after snoozin’ Stepping Out On Saturday Night It’s been a long week and we’ve been working so hard It’s good to know that everything’s done Things get crazy around here but at the end of day It’s time for us to have some fun The world can seem unkind so don’t be left behind I’ve seen you scream without making a sound Just let yourself unwind, when you’ve made up your mind Stepping Out On Saturday Night Bye bye, so long, farewell, I’m gone, wish me luck, don’t wait up Stepping Out On Saturday Night

A long lost friend, just showed up one day “I recognize your face, ya I’m doing okay You’re having a mid-life crisis, what do you expect me to say? If I could deal with the drama, I might invite you to stay” Chorus With Friends Like That, who needs enemies? I’ve got all the help, I can handle, don’t even begin You build me up, then you bring me down I’d like to help you out, how did you get in? My 42nd cousin, thought he’d look me up Arrived in me driveway, with his pickup truck I remember uncle Bob, and the turkey farm I’m sorry all your neighbours, did you so much harm Chorus - same A kid I knew, when we were back in school He used to beat me up, he thought he was cool He’d give me a punch, throw my lunch away And leave me out of the fun, when there were games to play I used to hate that kid, he made my life miserable If I could go back then, I’d change a thing or two But I forgive him now, I don’t want to commiserate Why hold a grudge, what good could it could do? Chorus - same Now my new best friend, invites me out on the town Gonna treat me to a good time, spread some money around But I bought all the drinks, I even paid for the meal He forgot his wallet at home, ya that was some kind of deal Chorus With Friends Like That, who needs enemies? I’ve got all the help I can handle, so let’s not pretend You set me up, then you let me down I’d like to help you out, how did you get in? Friends Like That, Friends Like That
